Cardamom, also known as elaichi in india, is the name for a plant species and its seeds which is native to india and southeast asia. Cardamom is usually grown in south india and guatemala. It is used for digestion problems including heartburn, intestinal spasms, intestinal gas, liver, cough & cold & throat problems. The three most important types of cardamom are: 1) green cardamom, 2) black or brown cardamom, 3) ground cardamom.
