Contact SupplierNative to the Maluku Islands of Indonesia, Cloves are one of the reasons the region is known as the Spice Islands. The aromatic flower bud is typically found in central and eastern parts of Indonesia, where it is harvested during the dry season months of June, July, and August. The buds are hand-picked and then sun-dried. Clove has strongly aromatic and very intensive fragrance; fiery and burning taste. Cloves may be used to give aromatic and flavor qualities to hot beverages, often combined with other ingredients such as lemon and sugar. Also used in medicine and dentistry where the essential oil is used as an anodyne (painkiller) for dental emergencies.
