drying time: (co12% - 0.2%, ca-10% - 0.4, zr 18% - 1.4%, mn 10% - 1.5%) based on solid resin
surface dry : 1 – 2 hours

hard dry : overnight
baking times at 1200 c. : 30 min.
Note: use of manganese along with zirconium & cobalt is must
solubility: infinite : m.t.o., toluene, napthas & limited – ketones & esters.
Chemical properties: the film is resistant to water, acid (2% h2so4) and alkali (1%naoh) and 5% sodium bi-carbonate solution and gives good anticorrosive properties. This resin by itself is not flexible, so always it is advisable to use along with some plasticizing resins.
Recommended use: it can be used as a partial replacement of urethane modified alkyd in coloured wood varnish (like mahgony, red maroon, orange etc.) and long oil alkyd in dark coloured enamels, red oxide metal primers, black enamels, red oxide zinc chromate primer and anticorrosive paints.
