Water Review Desalination Plant

The Sorek plant is capable of producing 624,000 cubic metre per day (m3day) of potable water, of which 540,000 m3day are currently supplied to Israel’s water distribution system. There is provision for future extension of the desalination plant, which is located south of Tel Aviv, the second most populous city and the largest metropolitan area in Israel.
