The relevant parameters of raw sewage are reproduced below: Characteristics Value Ph 6.0 to 7.5 Oil & Grease 50 – 100 ppm COD 550 - 600 ppm Suspended Solids 500 – 600 ppm BOD 800 – 1000 ppm It is assumed that the wastewater may contain non-hazardous, biodegradable material only. No hazardous material shall be present in the Treatment Plant which will affect the biological process of the treatment. The oil present shall be in free floating form.
