The end carriages are of standarised wheel bases in R-10 series. These are either bent U-shape or are of welded construction. R-Block bearing Housings are welded to the fabricatedbent end Carriages. The same is then machined on a horizontal boring machine for accommodating the bearings. This also ensures perfect alignments, parallelism and perpendicularity of the wheels individually & in pairs. The construction of the R-Block is such that it is very easy to attend to wheel maintenancechange. Local lubrication pipes for greasing both the wheel bearings are provided for one point lubrication. Rubber or spring buffers are supplied according to requirements
