Basava Metal Technology LLP. (BMTL), is a joint venture company between a KIEZ TECHNOLOGY LTD. STI. (KIEZ) using a brand name HERNMES involved in manufacturing of foundry consumables and a diversified Indian company “Basava Textiles Pvt. Ltd.” involved in cotton, granite and other businesses.
We will be operating under the brand name HERNMES and will be manufacturing foundry consumables viz. ceramic foam filters and riser sleeves; hence its manufacturing activities are mainly import substitution driven.
Promoters
Omer Elcuman – (Director) is a Turkish national and is also a Director in KIEZ and has been in the Ceramic Foam Filter manufacturing for the past 10 years. He has hands on experience in implementing and operating the project. He is constantly researching how best to give better solutions to the foundry industry.
Satish Sahasrabudhe – (Director Technical) is a qualified Metallurgical & Material science Engineer and has a very long experience spanning over 40 years in developing foundry consumable products, R&D and producing knowledge based material products. He also has sound knowledge of Foundry process and product application along with casting development experience in various foundries. He has also established the manufacturing plant for ceramic foam filters and riser sleeves.
Vijay Metgud – (Director) is a commerce graduate and a dynamic business leader involved in various businesses viz. cotton, granite, manufactured sand and other trading businesses. He has won many accolades from various Industry Associations for his contributions to the industry.
Sunil Metgud – (Director) an engineer with management degree from USA, he has worked in the steel industry for a few years and is currently involved in granite manufacturing and exports.
Project – HERNMES is currently manufacturing Alumina Based, Silicon Carbide Based, and Zirconia based ceramic foam filters. It is also manufacturing all types of Foundry Riser sleeves in various sizes. A detailed technical brochure is enclosed herewith.
Capacity – HERNMES has an installed capacity to manufacture:
Ceramic Foam Filters – installed capacity is 21 million pieces per annum. Currently we intend to achieve 50% of our installed capacity.
Sleeves – Manufacturing capacity of sleeve plant in approx 2 million pieces per annum.
HERNMES is manufacturing filters and sleeves in various sizes based on customers’ requirement.
Delivery Time – because of our proximity to the market we can deliver products in a few hours notice and in any quantity (big or small). We can also customize products for our customers and work closely in developing products to suit their requirements.
Location: HERNMES has its registered office and factory at Bailhongal, in Belgaum District of Karnataka State. The reasons for the choice of location:
Better management control – the Indian partner is headquartered in Bailhongal
Proximity to the market- large number of foundries in the western part of India are located in Kolhapur, Belgaum, Shimoga, Sangli, Pune and Mumbai area.
Close to airports – one at Belgaum which is 35 kms from the factory and another at Hubli which is at a distance of 80 kms from the factory.
Well connected road network – National highway is just 22 kms from Bailhongal which is also a tolled road and another state highway at a distance of 10 kms.
Manpower availability –there are many polytechnic and engineering colleges in Bailhongal and Belgaum, secondly since Belgaum is home to many hydraulic industries, foundries and other engineering enterprises availability of skilled manpower is abundant.
Make in India – the most important factor is to contribute to the clarion call by the Prime Minister of India to the “Make in India” policy for the rural area.
