Manufacturing Process
For manufacturing of Ferrous Sulphate H.H, first of all the reaction of ferrous ash and sulphuric acid is carried out in reaction vessel. Before starting the reaction the mother liquor (Sp. Gr.=1250-1300) is taken in reactor as per required quantity and then sulphuric acid (Sp. Gr.= 1800-1820) is added till Sp. Gravity of solution becomes1380-1400 approx. and H-2 on ph paper. Now ferrous ash of specified percentage is added in the reaction vessel till the Sp. Gravity of solution becomes 1520-1540 approx. and pH-2.5 on paper. Now the solution is filtered through filter press and carried out in the crystallizer. The solution is now cooled with the help of chilling Plant till temperature of solution becomes 12-16 degree Celsius. Now solution is centrifuged with the help of centrifuge machine. So that finished product Ferrous Sulphate obtained. The finished product is tested and results are noted as per FCO specification mentioned as below:-
