Filter Press

Filter press are filters for solid-liquid seperation. The slurry of solid & liquid is fed from one end to pass through a filter medium allowing the liquid to drain out & the solid to be retained. Main duties of the filter presses are as follows:
Seperating solids from liquids and recovering either in chemicals,dyes, fertilizers & sugar industries.
Clarifying liquids e.g. in brewery, oil refining & pharmaceutical industries.
Washing substances & removing the objectionable soluble contents e.g. in electro-plating, inorganic chemical, bio-chemical & pharmaceutical industries.
