Floascin have active ingredient as Ofloxacin in 400 mg strength which is a Fluoroquinolone antibiotic that fights bacteria in the body. Floascin is used to treat bacterial infections of the skin, lungs, prostate or urinary tract (bladder and kidneys). It is also used to treat pelvic inflammatory disease and Chlamydia and/or gonorrhea. Floascin is very effective medicine against a large number of bacteria. It cures the infection by stopping the further growth of the causative bacteria. It is not effective against infection caused by viruses. Fluoroquinolone is a type of antibiotics which can cause serious side effects which are not reversible. Use this medication only when other safer antibiotics did not work. Before using this medicine, keep your doctor informed about any allergic history from Fluoroquinolone antibiotics category.
