Gotu Kola or Pennywort or Brahmi (Centella Asiatica) is a medicinal herb, member of parsley family – Apiaceae has long been used in Ayurveda and traditional Chinese medicine as a remedy for fever, asthma, mental fatigue, skin healing, stomach ulcer and as longative herb. Gotu Kola is an aquatic perennial plant native to India. The active ingredient in Gotu Kola includes asiaticoside, Asiatic acid, madecassoside, triterpenes. It is widely used as antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, diuretic and tonic for the brain – as it helps in restoring brain cell and nerve function to improving blood quality and circulation.
