Hardware Accelerated Network Interface Card

HANIC Appliance (Hardware Accelerated Network Interface Card) is a high-performance network solution providing user with zero-loss packet capture and low-latency packet processing while keeping low processor loads. HANIC Appliance provides many options how to process network traffic: packet sampling, packet filtering and traffic distribution over multiple CPU cores based on specified parameters. The appliance consists of rack-mountable server equipped with multicore CPU and special network interface card with Xilinx Virtex FPGA chip, which guarantees unique performance parameters. Software part of HANIC Appliance is based on Linux operating system, customized device drivers, tools to control network interface card and libraries, which make user applications development easier.
