DAFEX – II  a silica based insulating compound, acidic in nature, is specially formulated for use as a Tundish insulating cover in conventional casting .
DAFEX – II an extremely efficient insulatior, medium exothermic which covers the entire metal surface in the Tundish. It prevents heat losses in the metal and reduces skulling near nozzles and ladle . Immediately after the addition it spreads on the metal surface and dry throughout the pour.

• Ladle dumps out clean metal with no metal adhering to the refractory lining.It is specially recommended for supersilica boards.
• There is no need to superheat metal prior to handling thus extending furnace and ladle refractory life while contributing to overall operating efficiency and improved metallurgical properties.
• Recommended use of this compound is 2 – 2.5 kgs, per ton of molten metal or 15 kgs epr meter square,depending on the size of ingots.
