Lap Joint Pipe Flanges

Flanges that slide over the pipe and are most commonly used with Stub End Fittings are the Lap Joint Pipe. Used in conjunction with a "Lap joint Stub End," these flanges are nearly identical to a slip-on flange with the exception of a radius at the intersection of the flange face and the bore to accommodate the flanged portion of the stubbed. The Lap Joint pipe flange is free to rotate around the stub end while a pipe is typically welded to the Stub End. The benefit of this is that there will not be any issues with bolt hole alignment. These flanges are often used for applications that require frequent dismantling. Slip on Pipe flanges with a hub have published specifications that range from 1/2" thru 24".
