Lord Ganesh is seated comfortably on a throne in ABHAYA MUDRA with hand carved ornamental arch fitted behind the pedestal. Lord Ganesh is seated holding an axe, a noose, his broken tusk that he used to write the Mahabharata epic and a ball of sweets. In his curled trunk he holds a water vessel. His four arms stand for His immense power in helping humanity. The noose and goad borne in two of His hands stand for His all-pervasiveness and grace. The broken tusk held in the right hand shows that He is the refuge for all. His huge belly is indicative of His tolerance and also signifies that all things, the entire Universe, are contained in Him. His feet stand for the bestowal of siddhi and buddhi, attainment of desires and knowledge. The modaka (sweet goody) in His hand is symbolic of conferring bliss. His mount, the shrew, represents the worldly desires which are to be overcome.
    Special Features (Right –sided trunk)
Balamuri trunk (Right-sided trunk) this form is very rare. Balamuri trunk is also called as Dakshinabhi mukhi, i.e. the idol facing towards south or right which is surya nadi (sun channel) situated to the right and is said to be active.
The position of Lord Ganesh’s trunk towards right has a symbolic meaning.Right or south direction for moksha, success, prosperity and profound knowledge in the world. It is a position associated with immense power and the remover of obstacles.
