Nirisha Lavender Essential Oil

An evergreen woody shrub. up to 1 meter tall. with pale green, narrow linear leaves and violet blue flowers. 

This variety is the common garden lavender and is sourced from the Himalayan regions around Kashmir. specifically Himachal Pradesh. 

Common Uses : 

• Skin: Lavender essential oil treats skin disorders like psoriasis. cuts. burns, abrasions, itches. eczema, rashes, acne. pimples. athlete's foot. sunburns. wounds and acts as a good mosquito repellant. Lavender essential oil has antifungal, antibacterial and antiseptic properties that assist in inhibiting the growth of bacteria, fungi and other micro organisms responsible for acne and other skin problems. 
• Mind: Lavender oil is an excellent remedy for treating fear. fatigue. anxiety. stress and depression. It also promotes peaceful sleep and alleviates stress and fatigue after a tiring day. 
• Body: In massage therapy, it is used to promote blood circulation, treat depression. anxiety, fatigue. restlessness. respiratory infections, urinary infections. bladder problems, whooping cough, nasal congestion. migraine. panic attacks, asthma. muscle soreness, headache. joint pain, bee stings and many other problems. 

Blends Well With: Bay. bergamot. chamomile. citronella. clary sage, geranium. jasmine. lemon, mandarin, orange. palmarosa, patchouli. pine. tangerine. thyme. rosemary. rosewood. ylang ylang. 

Caution: Avoid during pregnancy and with sensitive skin. It can cause possible sensitization in some individuals, so use in very low concentration only. It is important to note that all Essential Oils are extremely concentrated in nature and if to be applied on the skin or body. should always be diluted upto a maximum dosage of 4% in a suitable carrier oil.
