parboiled rice is nothing but that form of rice which is partially boiled in the husk (outer shell of the rice) before it is processed. Under this process, the rice is first soaked in water. It is then boiled and dried to complete the process of parboiling. There are two basic benefits of parboiling rice. One is that such process makes it simpler to process rice by hand. Secondly, and more significantly, it enhances the nutritional profile of rice. Therefore, rice becomes healthier after going through the process of parboiling.
