Peanuts

By far the most popular of all nuts, peanuts are technically legumes (like peas and beans) and one of the biggest crops exported from the United States. They are also one of the most diverse nuts, used in cooking, baking, and various beauty and industrial products. They rival strawberries in antioxidant levels, contain lots of protein, and are high in folate – a mineral essential for brain development that may protect against cognitive decline.
