Application
The five photosynthetic reactions of plants, including photosynthesis, pigment synthesis, photoperiodicity, phototaxis and morphological mutation, all happen in the wavelength range of 400~700nm. Thus the wavelength in 400 ~ 700nm of radiation is called Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR), its symbol is Qp and its unit is Wm2. PAR is the energy source of the plant life activities, organic matter synthesis and yield formation.
