    The SDM-CD16D increases the number of digital outputs that can be controlled (i.e., set to 0 or 5 Vdc) by a Campbell datalogger.
    The SDM-CD16D is commonly used to drive normal logic level inputs. It can also source some current; when an output is set HI, a ‘boost’ circuit allows the SDM-CD16D to source a current of up to 100 mA, which allows it to directly control low voltage valves, relays, etc.

    Intended for low voltage, low power applications not suitable for the SDM-CD16AC

    Specifications
    Operating Voltage: 9 to 18 Vdc
    Current Drain: 100 µA typical (all ports HI, no load)
    EMC Status: Complies with EN55022-1:1998
    and EN50082-1:1998
    Output Voltage (no load): Output ONHI, nominal 5 V (minimum 4.5 V)
    Output OFFLO: Nominal 0 V (maximum 0.1 V)
    Output Source Current: Output will source 36 mA @ 3 V, 115 mA short-circuited to ground
    Maximum Output Current (total all outputs): 400 mA and 50°C and 12 V supply. The maximum current (total all outputs) should be derated by 50 mA for every 10°C above 50°C andor 50 mA for every voltage above 12 V.
