Shell Groundnuts

The pods are covred in shell and larger than those of the Java types and constriction is more well-defined. The shell is thicker than that of Java types. The kernels are Long, larger than those of the Java types and covered with light red-coloured skins which speedily darken. Peanut shells are used in the manufacture of plastic, wallboard, abrasives, fuel, cellulose (used in rayon and paper) and mucilage (glue).
