• Silica sand is distinguished by its high chemical purity. The SiO2 contents range in excess of 99.5%.Silica has a high melting point, making it an ideal product for use in foundries.For industrial and manufacturing applications, deposits of silica yielding products of at least 95-99% SiO2 are preferred. Silica is hard, chemically inert and has a high melting point, attributable to the strength of the bonds between the atoms.
