Silver Spiral Bracelet

The franks were a germanic people who settled in the north east corner of the roman province of gaul, in what is now modern-day france, during the fifth century a.d. They valued articles of personal adornment, which were worn as symbols of status and power in both life and death. The original silver spiral bracelet on which ours is based is attributed to craftsmen and is dated to the sixth century, the period of great expansion under clovis and his sons.
