Single point diamond dresser

The original and the most basic dressing is the single point process, performed by a Single Point Diamond Dresser. Single Point Diamond Dresser, that we offer, can provide a very accurate profiling of the wheel, and is the simplest system, not requiring any special device. In this type, dressers with a selected diamond crystal mounted on a shank. The point of the set diamond is concentric with the shank. In wheel dressing by means of Single Point Diamond Dresser, normally a depth of cut of about 0.02-0.05 mm and a rapid traverse is applied till the wheel becomes true. For finishing, the depth of cut is reduced to 0.01-0.02 mm and the traverse is reduced to about 0.1 m/min. For dressing diamonds, normal working speed of grinding wheel is applied. The Single Point Diamond Dresser should be attached at an angle of 10°~15° from the horizontal axis of the grinding wheel. Single Point Diamond Dresser is highly suitable to fine-grain grinding wheels and small diameter grinding wheels, also suitable for larger diameter grind wheels with small widths. Single Point Diamond Dresser, available with us, is nowadays used mostly in very cheap, simple, general purpose machines or to obtain complex profiles in low to medium production applications. The selection of the diamond dresser (Carat) depends on the grit grade and the type of abrasive contained in the grinding wheel. Hence, while dressing the wheel of larger grain size, the size (Carat) of the diamond is correspondingly increased.
