DIC Fasteners is a Manufacturer of Taper Pins, a semi- permanent cylindrical pin that has a slight taper along its length. Taper pins one end have slightly larger diameter than the other end. The pins are externally and internally threaded which is used to align components which have to be taken apart and reassembled very frequently. Taper pins don not create much wear and tear as compared to cylindrical pins. Standard size taper pins have a taper on diameter of 1:48 while metric taper pin have a taper of 1:50. Some Taper Pins have a male screw thread on the one end that is designed to project through the hole and keep the pin with nut and a washer.
