Water Supply System

For automatic operation of hydrant, Water Spray and other water based systems, an automatic pumping arrangement is provided, so that the pumps operate and send pressurised water with adequate flow to the point of fire, facilitating early extinguishment.  The pumping arrangement typically consists of main electric driven pumpsets with standby diesel engine pumpsets (which will operate in case of power failure or failure of main pumpsets).  Jockey pumps are provided to maintain pressure in the system in case of minor leakages, temperature variation etc.  All the pumps are sequentially operated with necessary controls and instrumentation which includes MCC panels, pressure switches etc.  Sluice Valves, Non Return Valves, Strainers etc. are also provided as part of pumping arrangements.
