Historically, originating from the southern part of Mexico, this starchy seed crop has become a staple food in many parts of the world, with total production surpassing that of wheat or rice. However, not all of this corn (maize) is consumed directly by humans. Now, most of its export production is used for corn ethanol, animal feed and other corn (maize) products, such as corn starch and corn syrup. The six major types of corn are dent corn, flint corn, pod corn, popcorn, flour corn, and sweet corn. At CMI, our corn ships from the USA. We ship directly from the West and Mid-West swathes of farmlands under the most purified and hygienic conditions.
