The D-43 series Combination Air Valve has the features of both an air release valve and an air & vacuum valve. The air release component is designed to automatically release small pockets of air to the atmosphere as they accumulate along a pipeline or piping system when it is full and operating under pressure. The air & vacuum component is designed to automatically discharge or admit large volumes of air during the filling or draining of a pipeline or piping system. This valve will open to relieve negative pressures whenever water column separation occurs. Applications Pump stations: after the pump and after the check valve. Downstream (after) and upstream (before) of shut-off valves. After deep-well pumps. On long constant-sloped pipeline segments. At peaks along the pipeline and at peaks relative to hydraulic gradient. At end lines.

The Pressure Flow Control Metering Device (PFCMD) from Bermad, integrates a vertical turbine Woltman-Type water meter with a diaphragm actuated hydraulic control valve equipped with one, two or more pilots. The PFCMD automatically performs one, two or more independent functions, such as sustaining a preset minimal upstream pressure, maintaining the level in elevated reservoirs or sustaining maximum set flow. All functions are performed irrespective of change in upstream pressure and or demand. Functions can easily be added or removed in a modular way. The meter accuracy is independent and not affected by the action of the valve. An adjusting screw on each pilot allows setting of the desired set-point for Pressure, Level & Flow. The valve is compatible with SCADA.

The D-070 Combination Dynamic Air Valve is a unique valve operating without a float, utilizing the rolling diaphragm principle. This unique structure allows the dynamic valves to discharge air from the water system in a controlled and gradual manner, preventing slam and local up-surges. When vacuum occurs , the valves fast reaction will draw in large volumes of air into the water system, impeding down-surges and, consequently, all pressure surges in the line. The valves are normally closed when the line is not operating, thus preventing the infiltration of foreign particles and insects into the water system.
