This portable 2 axes CNC wheel turning lathe is made as an in-situ solution to turn the locomotive wheeel for wear correction without dismantling the wheel from the locomotive axle. The locomotive can be jacked up, this portable lathe can be mounted on the track and the profile can be turned using Siemens Sinumerik controls provided. Technical features of this lathe is given below:
X axis stroke: 75 mm
Y axis stroke: 150 mm
CNC system: Siemens Sinumerik 808D Advanced for easy programing using standard ISO G and M codes.
Ground ballscrew and nut, with positional accuracy of 0.01 mm and repeatability of 0.007mm.
Case hardened male guides and female turcite lining for superior rigidity for hard turning.
Leveling apparatus and rail clamping elements provided.
Tool post with LH and RH configurations provided.
Portable Electrical panel with operator controls with wheel including HMI, MPG provided for easy programming.
Input Electrical Details: 415V, 50Hz, 3 phase power.
