Cnc Welding Machine

A Welding SPM consists of A Welding Fixture for accurately locating the components and for firmly holding & clamping the components in the required position. The locating dimensions are machined in a jig boring machine and clamping elements consists of U or V blocks, hold-down elements, locating pins, bushes etc. The fixture is designed for accurate location of the components repeated and consistently. The automatic clamp and de-clamp mechanism is generally through pneumatically operated cylinders. In this CNC welding SPM, there are 6 welding torches, simultaneously welding both the end-flanges to a square tube in 20 seconds. The rapid approach of the torches to the welding zone, actual welding and rapid retraction of the welding torches through suitably designed slides are through servo motors and drives. Servo drive ensures accurate movement repeatedly and helps maneuvering the feed rates as per the requirement. FOAM SLICING AND CUTTING CNC MACHINE

Foam slicing through a CNC band-sawing process is very fast and it produces the sheets of the same and controlled thickness. We have designed and have built a FOAM SLICING & CUTTING CNC SPM for the manufacturer of automobile filters, which are made of foam cubes or buns of different sizes. These cubes are to be sliced into long sheets of different thickness accurately. The CNC Slicing SPM is designed to perform this precision, long, thickness uniformly controlled, slicing operation, so that the maximum numbers of slices are sliced off from the cubes, repeatedly. Con Rod Taper Milling

  • Features Four fixtures will mounted on the rotary table at every 90°.
This machine mills a taper on the connecting rods small end. The client used to do this machining operation on an VMC, which was a time consuming process. Metallic Bellow Forming Machine

Metallic Bellow Forming Machine was developed to obtain uniform and accurate bellow with mechanical cold forming with an completely automated process. The machine has an hydraulic cylinder, which will open and close the bellow die. The bellow die expands to form the bellow. The actual bellow blank, a stainless steel sheet metal seam welded in cylindrical shape, rests on a rotary indexing table which inturn is mounted on a vertical indexing slide. This indexing slide, is driven by a servo motor connected to a ballscrew. The sliding surfaces are made of LM guides and blocks for smooth and fast indexing. The servo motor, hydraulic expansion and indexing table rotation is seamlessly integrated with a PLC for complete auto-cycle function. A 7 touchscreen HMI is provided, so that parameters such as bellow pitch, number of rotations and angle of rotation per expansion, speed of indexing, etc can be easily entered and set.

FEATURES & SPECS:

  • Atop the base, a fixture is mounted on a vertical slide.

SEQUENCE OF OPERATION:

  • Set the required pitch on the HMI.
  • Load the job and press auto-cycle.
  • The vertical slide moves the job & fixture to the position for first bellow formation.
  • The press moves down and the die expands for the form the sheet metal.
  • Now, the die retracts slightly to free the component, but still remains within the groove.
  • Now the fixture indexes by preset angle and the die expands and contracts for N number. Now, the fixture indexes again and the die expands and contracts again.
  • The above step is repeated as per the preset parameters.
  • Now the die completely contracts and the vertical slide moves the component to the next pitch.
  • The forming process repeats again for the rest of the bellow form.

Square Flange In-Situ Miller

Surfaces of huge square or rectangular flanges can be linear machined, using a in-situ X-Y axes machine. This is basically a vertical machine, mounted on the horizontally resting square tubes through hydraulic cylinders. The hydro-motor driven milling head, with its quill movement for depth of cut setting, is mounted on the cross beam. The milling head moves along the cross beam left to right and right to left in X axis. The cross beam moves up and down (Y axis) along the two vertical beams on either side of the flange. Structure:

  • Made from single piece of alloy steel, with no joint, welded, bolted or brazed parts.

Working:

  • Mount the tool to the machine spindle
  • The tools offset shank is made in line with bore axis and is inserted in the bore without touching the inner bore walls.
  • When the insert tip moves out of the bore from the other side, the tool holder is offset from the bore axis for required back spot face dia.
  • The job or the tool is rotated and feed is given so that the back spot face begins.
  • After obtaining the required depth of back spot face, the tool is retracted back by again bringing the offset shank in line with the bore axis and by retracting it back.

Plate Edge milling Machines are also called Plate Edge Bevellers or Plate Edge Beveling machines. This is a dedicated machine for preparing weld edge preparations by preparing various sections like J groves in dimensionally large plates, which cannot be accommodate by a Plano miller.

Ltd., known for tailor-made solutions in metal cutting, especially in milling, have developed a Quadruple Head Milling SPM for rapidly machining all the 4 sides of rectangular grates accurately, with repeat accuracy. Essentially a high speed, mass production milling machine, the multi head milling SPM is an economical & faster alternative to expensive VMCs.

The rectangular work piece is about 500 mm long (corresponds to LH & RH sides) and about 180 mm wide (corresponds to front & back).

Face milling cutters in standard range are generally not available beyond 400 mm. Larger dia cutters are tailor-made by the cutter manufacturers, which makes them unaffordable and with long delivery lead time. Fly cutters are found to be the answer.

Fly cutters are far simpler, faster and cheaper to make. Fly cutters can be for large diameters, say even up to dia 1 mtrs or beyond. Of course, a fly cutter cannot compete with a face milling cutter in material removal capabilities. But it can produce a large width of cut, having uniform surface with mirror finish, which is not possible for a face milling cutter.

Since there are fewer cutting edges in a fly cutter, heat generated during the cutting is less, thus making it the most ideal cutter for machining non-ferrous material like aluminium. The chamfer had controlled depth for rivet seating. The depth control on the chamfer had to be mainatained within 30 microns for correct. The sustomer was using an hand operated drilling machine with mechanical dead stop. The depth control was very difficult in this setup and was set up time was. This now has been replaced by our machine which has a 1.5HP spindle with 500-2800 RPM stepless speed variation through VFD interface. The depth, feed and rapid return of the tool is by the servo motor coupled to ballscrew. The touch screen HMI can be used to program the spindle speed, drill feed, rapid return and dwell. This machine can be used for even tapping with a compensatory tapping chuck. Different fixtures have to be made to align the hole position to the spindle position. After fixture setup, the machine can be used in continuous auto-cycle for mass production.

It is possible to add slide-way grinding capabilities to the planer by mounting a cup wheel grinding attachment on the clapper box of the tool post. The existing tool post traverse mechanism is used for setting the depth of cut. Alternatively, grinding heads are also offered with graduated collar enabled manual quill movement for fine depth of cut setting (least count: 0.05 mm per div). The same grinding attachment, when tilted to LH or RH 90, can be used for peripheral grinding application. Existing LHRH tilting mechanism of the tool post is to used for the grinding head also. SKFRHP angular contact, matched pair bearings are used for high spindle accuracy.
