The LED Display Digital Colony Counter is a precise and user-friendly laboratory instrument designed for fast and reliable counting of microbial colonies on agar plates. Suitable for microbiology labs, pharmaceutical quality control, food testing, and clinical diagnostics, this unit enhances accuracy while significantly reducing operator fatigue during repetitive counting tasks.
It features a bright, 4- to 6-digit red LED display that clearly shows the count value, even in low-light environments. The colony counter operates with a pressure-sensitive stylus or probe, which allows the user to gently touch each colony on the petri dish—instantly registering and displaying the count. Each touch is confirmed with an audible beep, ensuring tactile feedback and preventing miscounts.
The unit is equipped with a uniformly illuminated, glare-free counting platform, typically 100–110 mm in diameter, offering excellent contrast between colonies and the agar surface. Some models also include a removable magnifying lens for enhanced visibility of small or faint colonies. It also features a reset switch, count averaging function, and rugged anti-skid design for stable operation on lab benches.
