Polygon Turning Machine is an lathe machine which can increase production up to 5 times on lathe machine as compared to milling machine. It can be used for manufacture of special fastners as per customers specifications.
Polygon Turning Machine is a mechanical device via which varied flats can be done on the OD of the component. Right from 2 to 12 numbers are cut in one stroke with no need of any indexing (either straight or in tapered fashion). Known to be fitted on center lathe of 4.5 feet bed length without any geometrical change in origin of lathe, this job is fixed and tool rotates for multiple flats. Also, job rotates and tool is fixed while round turning on lathe and this range is considered as a blend of lathe and milling machine.
This machine can be very useful for mass production of automobile components such as drain plug, flange nut and machining of polygons on valve stem and machining of various polygons on components.
