Vapi is one of the largest cities of Gujarat that enjoys the status of municipality to the Valsad district as well. Perched on the banks of the mighty Damanganga River, the city is visited by the gentle winters, moderate summers and intense rain falls in a year. In addition, the melodious tunes of folk music like ‘Sugam Sangeet’, ‘Baardic music’, ‘traditional ragas’ etc. are hummed and played everywhere in the city. ‘Bhavai’ and ‘Veshas’ are the traditional folklore that are shared and enacted by the natives for the entertainment. For the local traditional shopping in Vapi, the articles like bamboo mats & baskets, leather slippers, goods made of beads, seashells & oysters, etc. are very famous.
