QUICK OVERVIEW

Universal Air Coupling is designed for air and water service and provides a quick connection between three lengths of hose; or length of hose and a male or female NPT outlet. In sizes 1/4 inch to 1 inch all heads are the same and are interchangeable regardless of the hose shank or NPT thread size. Connections made by pressing the two heads together and applying a quarter-turn. The locking pin is placed in the hose to provide a safe connection.

General Information of Triple Connection Universal Couplings

Triple Connection Universal Couplings, also known as Chicago Couplings or Air King series couplings, feature a simple quarter turn to connect. These couplings are commonly installed on air hose assemblies that connect pneumatic tools to their compressed air source. Firmly pressing one coupler to another and twisting seals the connection. Safety clips prevent accidental disconnection during use. Universal couplings are a convenient quick connect system to mate varying diameters of hose, as all sizes up to 1 inch interchange with one another. Yet sizes over 1 inch have a four lug design which also interchange with all other sizes in the four lug style. In addition universal couplings do not interchange with sandblast, Minsup, or European style couplings of similar style. Finally lubricate the gasket for easierconnection.

Warnings:

Safety pins, clips or wires should always be installed in couplings. Finally never use universal air couplings for steam service.
