This machine is used to test the bursting strength of the Filter Paper / Element Test Paper (Filter Element) is put on a Holding Station and clamped from the top. From the bottom of the Holding Station, a Diaphragm is pressurized which presses against the Test Paper / Filter Element. The Diaphragm is pressurized by Glycerin filled in a container which is pushed by a moving Piston actuated mechanically. The load at which the paper fails(bursts) against the expanding Diaphragm is noted through Double Needle Manual Dial gauge.

This machine is used to paste or bond pre-molded plastic discs (end caps) to the filter media by application of heat and pneumatic pressure. The pre-molded plastic disc is softened on a table top die by applying heat to it through a retractable heater (actuated through a pneumatic cylinder kept underneath the table) for a pre-set time of about 5 – 10 seconds. Thereafter the filter media is put over the disc and a pressure is applied from the top through pneumatic cylinder for bonding of the end disc/cap with the filter media. The salient features of this machine are: Provided with double pasting heads so that at a time both the top and bottom plastic discs can be bonded to the pleated media at either of the stations. Movement of the top Pressurizing Plate is through Pneumatic Cylinders Bottom disc holding die heads are fixed and are insulated to prevent heat loss. This machine is used to bind the filter media with the end cap after adhesive is poured over it. Two Hot Plates-one at the top and the other at the bottom press the assembly electro-pneumatically and the adhesive gets bonded to the end cap/filter media and support tube due to heat. This testing machine is used to test the bonding strength of the End Caps with the filter element. The complete filter assembly is put in between Holding Discs inside the testing fixture. The End Caps are clamped on the Holding Discs. While the top Disc is stationary, the bottom Holding Disc is pulled down. Reading is noted on a Double Needle Manual Dial Gauge when the bonding of either of the End Caps breaks off.
