Used for making pellets of graphite or Infra Redtransmitting materials.For elemental analysis of Cement, Slags or Refractories by X-rayFluorescence or Emission Spectrometry, the samples are mixed withgraphite powder and pellets are made in the Ring Press, compressingat desired pressures . The pellets are suitable for placing in theanalysing instruments.Similarly, in the analysis of samples in the powder form by the InfraRed Spectrophotometers, these are mixed with NaCI or IRtransmitting materials and pellets made as above and placed in theinstruments for analysis. The Ring Press is a portable bench model andcan be used on a sturdy table top. It is fitted with a load measuringgauge calibrated for 0-250 kN. and also fitted with a pressure releasevalve for removing pellets. It is supplied with dies for different pelletsizes, according to the requirements.
