Refining Plant A Buratto IAO BR

The refining system to "Buratto" with aqua regia is a new type of technology compared to traditional gold refining systems of the static type "".

It is mainly a totally different working method. The static system is still a craft system while with the "Buratto" you adopt a refining process much more industrial.

The "Buratto" consists of a polypropylene cylinder having a 'inclination of about 25 , and this is constantly rotated by a geared motor with the possibility of also adjust the speed of rotation by means of a potentiometer.
This continuous rotation allows an adequate rubbing the grit and therefore a rapid and appropriate dissolution. The "Buratto" is complete with a glass pyrex condenser, inside which circulates cold water that allows the recovery of a good amount of acid and a good neutralization of the fumes.

Another big advantage is that the system can work in the night without requiring the supervision of an operator.

It is a 'multi-purpose facility since it allows you to refine the gold chippings as well as the casting scrap and certain types of precious ashes.

The plant is mainly composed of:

Refining Plant With Static Glass

Principle of operation

Through a combination of acids and the subsequent use of chemical compounds it is possible to refine gold containing alloys.
The aqua regia is a mixture of hydrochloric acid (HCl) and nitric acid (HNO 3 ).

The refining process can be summarized in several operations:

  • Analysis of the alloy to be refined title
  • Production of grit or fine gold foils
  • Refining by aqua regia
  • Separation and storage of silver chloride (AgCl)
  • gold precipitation
  • Recovery and filtering of the precipitated gold powder
  • Analysis of the security of this gold
  • Gold Fusion in its final form

Refining by aqua regia

The minimum recommended title for the gold alloys to be refined must be at least 600/1000.
Lower Titles significantly reduce productivity by increasing the processing time.
The percentage of silver present in the alloy should not exceed 10-12%. Higher values can reduce the productivity of the process as well as adding the times.

The gold will be melted and reduced to fine grit (through a melting furnace and a container for the production of grits) or small plates. These latter make it possible to maximize the effect of dissociation due to their high external surface when they are immersed in aqua regia solution.
The grit, due to a lower outer surface and more irregular shape, it needs a longer time for its complete dissociation, sometimes leaving residues in the reactor
is, however, easier to get gold in the form of grit.

The plant consists of:

  • Bath PPL with panels, which accommodate the two containers for HCL and HNO3.
  • Extractor in PPL with the intake manifold, to be connected to our tower suction and fumes neutralization, type TLF. The above is constructed so as to collect any leaks of acids.
  • An electric heater with power regulator
  • Reactor with condenser, pyrex glass.
  • Transfer HCl and HNO 3 as containers sized containers by means of vacuum.
  • Polyethylene container, with lid and suction for AgCl decantation.
  • Flask pyrex glass for the gold cementation, porcelain Buchner funnel and its lid for the transfer and filtration of solutions by means of vacuum.
  • Antacid diaphragm pump, powered by compressed air, for the transfer of solutions.
  • polyethylene containers for the containment of the mother liquors.
  • Metering pumps for the transfer of HCL and HNO3 in the reactors.
  • Pyrex glass capacitors.

The implant serves to refine, by aqua regia, platinifere alloys. The maximum quantity affinabile with this plant is 1-2-5 kg / cycle. The cycle duration is 3 days 8 hours and the title obtained is 999.5 / 1000.


THE PLANT AND 'CONSISTS:

hood in PPL constructed so as to collect any leaks of acids, and is accompanied by:

  • n 1 in Pyrex glass reactor with a capacity of 20 or 50 liters complete with electric heater with drive power and a Pyrex glass condenser amply dimensioned for the condensation of acid vapors

The plant is used to obtain gold with a purity of 999.9 / 1000 starting from 900/1000 with a maximum of 5% silver content.
The electrolytic solution should contain 80 g / l of chloroauric acid. The plant is composed of a monobloc cell divided into two parts, which rests on a safety tank. The cell is supplied with an oblique intake system to the liquid.

The plant is used for iron dissolving in the empty items of jewelery by means of an HCl solution.

The system is constructed with self-extinguishing polypropylene plate and allows the simultaneous dissolution of 30 Kg of articles, reducing the emptying time by approximately 50% compared to static systems.
The plant has an operating capacity from 100 to 140 Lt approximately acidic solution.

Ovens FN Tape

The ovens are particularly suitable for:
welding of chains

The type ovens FN70 / A-A1, FN100 / A-A1, FN140 / AB have two heating zones. The electrical heating elements are constructed with a thread resistant to temperatures exceeding 1200 C. The muffle is constructed in refractory steel. The cooling chamber, patented, is made of stainless steel so as to prevent the dripping of condensate on the materials to be welded or anneal. The cooling is carried out it in closed loop by a group consisting of: a stainless steel tank containing
decalcified water, a recirculation pump, and a water-water heat exchanger to be connected to a water system of plain water. This assembly is mounted on all belt furnaces with the exception of models FN50 / A-A1-A2. The ovens adopt static power modules in place of traditional contactors. The movement of the tape is controlled by a microprocessor in order to ensure the stability of the motorcycle. The ovens are equipped with a time switch for switching on and off. The motion of the belt start-up and the opening of cooling water takes place automatically when the oven temperature exceeds 350 C. The ribbon movement off and the cooling water closure happen automatically when the oven temperature drops below 350 C. The protective gas used for the two protective burners are: propane, methane or butane. As regards the feeding of the reducing gas (H2 + N2) can be used both in cylinders or generated by dissociation of ammonia.

The ovens are used to prevent the surface oxidation of the pieces during the annealing operation and for the deoxidation of the finished product. In addition to performing a heat treatment on the pieces, using protective gas generated in part, the pieces come deoxidized and brilliant. They are also equipped with a stainless steel tank containing the water for rapid cooling of the pieces;the immersion of said pieces is carried out by means of a manual or motorized lifter, also made of stainless steel. The oven has a patented cooling chamber, built entirely in stainless steel, which avoids the fall of condensate above the pieces to anneal or deoxidize. An electronic device starts the counting of deoxidation times only introduced when the metal arrives at the set temperature. The muffle is AISI310S of thickness 6 mm and 4 mm steel.
