These materials are purposely used because Fins are always under constant wear and high stress due to the strip ends touching them on the periphery before butt welding. Thus, these are provided in hardened and ground state with a uniform hardness throughout. Also, special attention is paid during their heat treatment so that hardened fins are not bent and out of shape.
