General Purpose Acid Digestion Vessel is provided with a rupture disc that will release pressure through an opening in the cover. Its maximum temperature and pressure ratings, 250C and vessel 1800 psig, are the same as for the 4749 Model. The 4744 General Purpose Acid Digestion Vessel is sealed by turning the screw cap down until it is hand tight, then tightening the cap not more than one-eighth turn with a hook spanner. The spanner and holding fixture required for this operation are the same as used with the 4749 Vessel. These accessories must be ordered separately.

High Pressure High Temp Vessels are available in either a 1.0 L or 1.8 L capacity. The maximum temperature for these vessels is 600 C and at that temperature can be run at a maximum pressure of 4200 psi (290 bar). Or, run these vessels at 350 C and obtain a maximum pressure of 6000 psi (410 bar). A Split Ring closure with 12 Cap Screws secures the head which allows a maximum of 8 openings. The Series 4680 Vessels can be configured with either a fixed head on a floor stand or as a moveable head vessel on a moveable cart. An optional pneumatic lift is available on the floor stand model.
