They contain linoleic acid (LA) and a-linolenic acid (LNA), also known as Omega 6 and Omega 3 polyunsaturated fatty acids. Hemp seed has a perfectly balanced 1:3 ratio of Omega 3 (LNA) to Omega 6 (LA) essential fatty acids that the body requires, vs. other competing Omega rich plant based oils on the market like flax seed oil which has a too heavy Omega 3 to 6 ratio of 4:1.
