Determining high quality turmeric in the market.
The two most important constituents of turmeric are curcumin (polyphenolic compound), the most active ingredient, and turmeric essential oil (volatile component) that are responsible for a broad spectrum of biological properties that turmeric possess. Hence selecting a turmeric variety with a high curcumin content and minimum required volatile oil content determines quality turmeric!
At Nrich Botanicals, we selectively source turmeric from our farmer communities and networks after extensive testing to make sure that the turmeric rhizomes are of requisite quality. We process it through our proprietary drying process under controlled atmospheric conditions and are cold-milled such that there is no impact to the potency and the constituents present.
