HOW TO USE: Take this medicine orally once a day. Take doses up to 300mg and higher dose should be taken by time intervals. Take this medicine regularly to get maximum effects and result.
HOW AMISULPRIDE WORKS: Amisulpride blocks the presynaptic dopamine receptors and increase the dopamine transmission and by this mechanism Amisulpride gives antipsychotic effects.
PHARMACOKINETICS OF AMISULPRIDE: Amisulpride absorbed rapidly after the oral administration. The bioavaibility of the Amisulpride is around 48%. Amisulpride binds with only 17% of plasma proteins. The half-life of Amisulpride is approximately 12 hours. Amisulpride excreted by the urination and the elimination half-life of the medicine is 12hours.
SIDE EFFECTS OF AMISULPRIDE: The normal side effects caused by Amisulpride are dry mouth, breast pain, irregular menstrual periods in woman, feeling sleepy/ drowsiness, constipation. Some major side effects of Amisulpride are uncontrollable muscle movement, putting weight, breast enlargement in men, anxiety. Some rare allergic side effects like rash, itching, burning of skin are seen in some patients.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor if you are allergic to the medicine. Ask your doctor’s advice if you have medical history like diabetes, heart problem, liver problem, kidney disease, breast cancer or tumour.
