Baselard Dagger

The Baselard Dagger is a 14^th century combat/ fighting dagger. With its name probably derived from the Swiss city of Basel, the Baselard Dagger was usually used for thrusting, self-defense, assassinations and close combat fighting; where a sword would be too cumbersome to be used effectively. The Baselard Dagger was used throughout Western Europe in the 14^th and 15^th centuries. Our Baselard Dagger is an excellent rendition of the timely originals.
