Batch Pasteurization is the cheapest method of Pasteurization as small quantities can be processed in it even in the absence of electricity various other fuels like wood, coal, gas etc can be used. It is mainly used for small processors. The pasteurized milk can be used using cold water, normal water and ice water which can be cooled down to 4 degree C. The batch pasteurizer is made up of SS with insulated double walls. The machine can vary from being a simple tank to a more complicated system. It is multifunctional, compact and uses simple technology. The same machine can be used for pasteurizing milk and cream. It produces stirred yoghurt, fermented milk, cream and fresh cheese.
