The Chera Capstan & Turret lathe is designed for chuck work as well as collet work. In chuck work the maximum dia that can be mounted is 90 mm & in collet work 25 mm. It is ideal for manufacturing simple & complex turned parts from both bars & blanks. The blanks can be pre-turned, forged or cast. The simple design allows quick and easy setting of the machine.
The changeover from collet work to chuck work and vice versa is quick and simple as only the spindle nose cap & collet are to be removed and the chuck with the back plate is to be screwed to the nose of the spindle. For change over from chuck work to collet work the procedure is to be reversed.
