This type of setting allows the tools to be fully consumed in use, no servicing is required. This is an important factor on automated and high production grinding machines. These tools are being used on a large number of centreless, cylindrical and surface grinding machines where accuracy of form and finish are important and in certain cases, the Dragoon has surpassed the more expensive polished chisel type for profiling work.
