Fibersol 2 non-GMO, Resistant Maltodextrin 90% Fibrest (Corn)

Fibersol 2 non-GMO, a spray-dried powder that is produced from corn starch but is not digested in the same manner as corn starch. Instead, it is fermented by microflora in the large intestine.
Nutritionally, Fibersol 2 non-GMO meets the fiber definitions proposed by the National Academy of Sciences’ (NAS) Institute of Medicine, by Codex Alimentarius, and by the European Foods Safety Authority (EFSA) who describe it as a fiberin the specific category of “non- digestible carbohydrates”.
At the same time, Fibersol 2 non-GMO, as a resistant maltodextrin, is included on the FDA’s list of non-digestible carbohydrates that meet the definitionof dietary fiber. Fiber content is measured by AOAC Official Method 2001.03.
