Graphite features a poly – crystalline structure and is based on the technology related to ceramic materials.

Due to its physical and chemical properties, graphite is an excellent electrode material for electric arc furnace. By choosing specific raw materials and technical properties can vary and may be adapted to several factors of influence and operating condition. It is also used for purification of steel in ladle furnaces and for other smelting purposes.

Raw materials for production of graphite electrodes are:

2. Pitch ( Classic binder)
3. Energy (Temperature close to 3000 ?C reached during production)
