WHAT IS HEPATITIS B?

Hepatitis B is swelling and inflammation of the liver due to infection with hepatitis B virus.

• Hepatitis B is a type of hepatitis viral infection that is highly contagious and usually contracted through sexual activity with an infected partner or through contact with the bodily fluids of someone with Hep B.

WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS OF HEPATITIS B?

Initially Patient may no have symptoms. Early symptoms include:

• Loss of Appetite
• Tiredness
• Low grade fever
• Muscle and joint aches
• Nausea and vomiting
• Yellow skin and dark urine
• Abdominal pain or discomfort.
• Symptoms will disappear in few weeks to months as per the individual patient's immunity to fight off infection. some patient never get out of Hepatitis B infection they are now patient of chronic Hepatitis B.
• Patients with chronic Hepatitis B may not have any symptoms or even they don't know they are infected with Hepatitis B. In future they may develop symptoms of Liver damage and Cirrhosis of the Liver.
• There is very high chance of Liver cancer in patients who have chronic Hepatitis B infection.
