Insulated Fire Rated Rolling Shutter

In a fire, non-insulated fire shutters prevent the spread of flame, but are still red hot and radiate heat on the other side. Our insulated fire shutters are designed to prevent the spread of fire while ensuring the temperature on the other side is still safe.
The shutter curtain is made of two nos. Of roll formed, 80mm pitch by 22 mm deep by 0.8 mm thick superior galvanizedzincalume steel slats. Two roll formed interlocking slat profiles run along the entire length of the shutter without splices, creating a double walled slat mineral wool of a minimum density of 80 kgm3 is used, which provides thermal insulation along with an acoustic insulation of approximately 27db to 35db.
All fire shutters shall be equipped with thermal fusible link mechanism. Upon sensing the heat of 74 (degc), the fusible link mechanism shall release the brake of the motor and allow it to descend by gravity. In cases where the fire shutters are needed to be activated by fire alarm signal, a dual fusible link called the ers-400 (electric solenoid releaser) shall be employed. Upon receipt of 24v dc, 400 ma, normally open fire alarm signal, the device would release the brake of the motor and allow the shutter to descend by gravity �even� under complete power failure condition.
